All our satin lined fleece hats are handmade and may vary
in size by 1/4 inch.
To measure your head, use a tape measure
and measure the widest part of your head, just above the ears
and eyebrows to the nearest 1/8 inch.
Measurements listed in the chart below are
hat measurements. We use stretch satin, so for most individuals, we recommend ordering the hat closest to your head measurement.
For example, if your head measures 21 inches, order a child large. If your head measures 22.5 inches, order a medium.
If you often wear your hair in more elaborate hair styles or with your curls loose and not in a protective
style, you may want to order the larger size if your head measurement is in between two sizes. You may also want to measure
your head when your hair is in the style you will most frequently wear a hat on to help get the best size.
The main difference between our child and adult sized hats are that the
adult hats are a bit "deeper" or "taller" than the child size hats.
Typical age ranges are also listed for each size. If possible, please
measure as we may have limited quantities of trims, fabrics or embellishments for some hats, so we may not be able to make
another one in a different size.
